Thinking of others just solved it all! Thanking God for them, pondering their path, meditating on the Word for them, and praying for them until they are etched in your heart. Follow this up by actions and service and you will find you don't struggle with selfishness anymore!

Choose to look. Choose to love. Choose to let go. Take on the nature and heart of Christ starting in the little things. One day at a time, one conversation at a time, one person at a time. Thoughts lead to actions and actions lead to a lifestyle/habit. Lord, change my perspective of myself and others. Let me take on your heart. And let that process change my life.

My attitudes are reflected in my actions. When I'm concerned with the people around me, I'll show care. When I'm thinking about others, I'll inquire about their lives. And by the example of Jesus' sacrificial, constant, enduring love, I learn how to better love people. The attitude of Jesus in each of us establishes, defends, and builds right relationships. This is how we keep things straight. Leaving the realm of self-sufficiency and survival and jumping into humility and service. This is how the church is built.
