By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life."

It's all about perspective. We can't lose sight of why we are entrusted with money in the first place & to whom put money belongs anyways! Giving isn't a huge deal when it's not yours anyways. When you're writing using Gods checkbook, add on those zeros, baby, cuz there's more there that came from!

There is a desire in all of us to store up wealth. It is a since of security and success. As our accounts grow bigger, and the numbers get larger, the more fulfilled we become. The wealth we builed on earth does not last, but the wealth that we are building for eternity will last forever. Why not focus on that which will not be lost?

'...Always being ready to share with others' keeping this focus day and day out is the challenge! It is so easy to pack our schedules, tightly budget out money, and be pre occupied in our heads while out among the people we are called to reach. Lord help me to re-focus hourly and even min by min. Constantly keep me alert to not miss the divine moments with random people around me every single day...

Lord, put in me a generous spirit. I ask that You would help me to use everything You've given me for good, to use money and possessions to build Your Kingdom here and to bless others. The result will be life, not just in me, but also life pouring into others!

Always be ready! This requires some close proximity to God and less attachment to possessions. If He owns me, then all I have is His and my attachment should be a lot more firmly placed on eternal things. The enchantment with the things of this world will grow strangely dim as I keep my obedience tuned in to the ultimate Source. He wants to pour out blessings. That flow happens as I receive and give freely an

I love how it says "that they may experience true life". Some people think materials are like oxygen... The more you have the better you live. truth is, we don't need posessions to live, we don't even need oxygen. We need Jesus. Thinking this way helps me WANT to be generous. Also this verse reminds me that i can't build a foundation in something that is bound to die.

As Christians we are to understand that more important than monetary investments are people investments. True satisfaction is found in doing the will of the Lord. He designed us and know what is fulfilling to us.
