Ask the LORD for rain In the time of the latter rain. The LORD will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.

One person with a prayer asking God. Just one can change everything. I want a revival in me that wouldn't just merely affect my heart or my perspective but would bring change to the atmosphere and affect my surroundings. Change my life and the lives around me.

This shows me two things. One, God wants to send the rain. In fact it's already in His plans too. Two, He wants us to seek His face for it first. His desire is to know me through intimate prayer. He wants me to wants what He wants. If He wants me to ask for the rain then obviously a God as good as Him won't hold back when I do ask. How willing am I to see the revival? Willing enough to cry out for it in the seasons that seem dry? He won't hold back when His children He loves dearly ask for it.

I need to be a man that ASKS for revival rain! I don't want to miss out on this great refreshing rain just because I was too busy or too lazy to not ask for it.

It's the Lord who makes it rain. Our job is to ask for it, and in the asking God prepares our hearts for the harvest. Only God can bring the miracle power of revival, but for there to be grass in the field for everyone our hearts have to be prepared. Otherwise the grass will be trampled, eaten, and go to waste. Learning to protect relationships and lean wholly upon His grace, power, and wisdom will keep us where we are supposed to be and put us in a position to receive the harvest!

I want to say Amen to everyone above! I always think of a latter rain as an unexpected downpour after the initial rain. The kind that floods the fields and makes for a good crop because the seed will have enough water to survive a dry/hot season. It's the best kind of rain if you want to survive a drought, famine, hard times. In Melba, they pray for this kind of rain. In our house we should pray for a flood of his power, enough for all of us to survive any season.
