For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14 NKJV)

Sometimes, I believe we try to fight our own battles, tough it out, find a way to win, but sometimes, it's impossible to to win on our own. God has promised that He would fight for me. Multiple times it is mentioned that we find rest and peace in God. Refreshing comes from God. No matter the situation, if I allow God to fight my battle, I will walk away with peace and be refreshed, NOT beat up.

The Lord at times asks us to take our stand against the enemy and He will handle the rest.... He says..."do not be afraid" AND "stand firm" and watch ME defeat the enemy!

First things first; don't be afraid. I think God especially hates fear because it interferes with our faith and trust in Him. He commands us to fear not and then tells us to stand still and see what He can do. He wants to restore our hope in Him and who He is. Victory comes from letting go and letting God. He fights for us and I need to do my part and trust in Him.

The Lord sees our enemies and obstacles much differently than we do. He sees opportunity where we see hopelessness. He sees new beginnings where we see dead ends. His goal is for us to hold onto the peace He gives and watch Him deliver us for His glory.

"You had one job" - Isn't it silly when we try to involve ourselves in the thing that are God's business? He does the fighting. We do the believing, the obeying, the standing.
